Disneyland with Uncle Matt

Matt called us New Years day morning and said let's go to Disneyland. his brother and family were there on vacation and he decided at the last minute he wanted to join them but he wanted us to go too. So we packed our bags and jumped in the car and off to Disneyland we went. We had tons of fun and loved getting to meet his brother and nieces.
On this trip Genesee started sucking her thumb. Cute huh?
You gotta love that hat!
Matt and his brother Adam wearing their Toy Story glasses.
Pluto!
Tatum loves Minnie Mouse!
This pretty much sums up Tatum.
Okay so here is the story... Tatum is about a quarter of an inch shy of 40 inches which is how tall you have to be to ride a few rides like Space Mountain and Tower of Terror. Tatum really wanted to ride so we tried again thinking they would just let her on. Nope has to be 40 inches. So my husband and Matt decide to put Genesee's mittens inside Tatum's shoes to make her just a bit taller. It worked and she had a blast. If you look you can see her fingers sticking out to the left of the little girl and her eye over the top of her head. Yep that "empty " seat next to TJ is our Tatum with her hands in the air and loving every minute of it! This was her second trip on Tower of Terror. The first time we sat in the second row and she completely disappeared behind the front row. You couldn't see her at all. I take that back you could see her little hands in the air, in true Tatum fashion, but that's it. She rode again so she could sit in the front and be in the picture.  How fun is she!!!

Christmas

Christmas at the Duncan house was wonderful. As you can see Santa was very good to us but I think the highlight of this Christmas was definitely the Mustang we got Tatum. She decided in early November that she was getting this pink car for Christmas. She set up play dates around and everything.
Savanna and TJ playing her new Wii!
Santa brought Genesee the famous ball popper from Church, Tatum an easel and Savanna a DB purse.
Here it is the Pink Car.
Tatum sitting in her car. It was raining on Christmas day here so she couldn't go out side and drive it. Mommy moved the kitchen table and cleared out the computer room and let her drive it in the house!!!
Driving her car. The helmet was her idea. Cute huh?
All set to go with Mr. Smitty bear riding shot gun and dressed to impress in her Cinderella dress.
Sav was riding bikes while Tatum drove her car.

Santa

This was Genesee's first experience with Santa and she did great. I love the mall Santa at fashion Valley. He is so wonderful with the kids and you have to love his accent!

Making Christmas Cookies

Tatum wanted to make Christmas cookies all by herself this year. So to help facilitate that  I bought some ready to bake reindeer cookies at the store. She really got into making the cookies.
As you can see the cookies were quality tested even before being baked.

Decorating the tree

Tatum got to put Minnie on top of the tree this year.
All done with the tree and the picture taking

Safety Patrol Captain

Savanna was selected as Captain of the Safety Patrol at her school. She recently had an interview for a position as Colonel of the San Diego County safety patrol and was selected to go to the second round of interviews. She and one other student from her school district will represent the Cajon Valley Union school district at this interview.  Her next interview in Jan 9 so keep your fingers crossed!
Here the Director of the Safety Patrol, Mr. Panasch, is telling the whole school about savanna being selected to interview for Colonel. The award she is holding in her hand is a citizenship award the she received for this last semester.

She got her "scrambled eggs" as she calls them.
Tatum posing proudly with Captain Savanna.

Tatum being Tatum

This is just a collection of pictures of Tatum being herself. She loves to dress up and loves to pose. She really is a bright light!
We were taking pictures of TJ's truck so naturally she poses infront of it.
This is one of Tatum's outfits.
Wearing Daddy's stuff
She should be a dress up outfit designer!
Yes she was taking a nap but no she was not in her bed.

My 30th Birthday

I had to turn 30 this year so I figured what better place to turn 30 then Disneyland. I love this place. It is so much fun and makes me so happy. I love to watch my kids at Disneyland. This was Genesee's first trip to Disneyland. She pretty much slept through it.
My girls infront of the Castle
First trip to Disneyland. She is so excited!
Ok so maybe she could careless and we are excited.
Her new princess hat is keeping the sun off her face.
Yep this is pretty much how she saw Disneyland
It's a small World
Everybody loved her hat.
The girls visit Pixie Hollow.
There is a really funny story about Tatum's wallet falling into the river here.
Next time you see me ask me about it.
Tatum and Minnie Mouse playing around.
Genesee meeting Minnie Mouse for the first time.
We were standing in the background watching our older to interact with her along with the other kids and Minnie came through the crowd to come play with Genesee.

Go Karts

One of the days we were in Ruidoso we went to Fun trackers to race go carts. They had a turtle track there that Tatum could drive her own go cart. She kept crashing into the walls it was really funny. The operator finally ended up riding on the side of Tatum's car to help her drive.
