Trying this out

Some people use blogging as a place to vent. I was hoping to use it as a forum to keep our extended family updated on all the happenings in our life here in California (currently). So here goes... TJ is currently finishing up his first summer semester in College. He has been in school since Sept of 06 solidly! 2 reg semesters, a winter semester and now a summer semester. He is currently pursuing a degree in business as part of the Navy's seaman to admiral program. Which means he is becoming an officer. He was also selected to be a Navy pilot. He will begin his flight school after he graduates in May of 2009. He is doing really well in school. Other than that he does have a whole lot of spare time but in that little spare time that he has he likes to work around the house, work on his truck, or do fun stuff with us! Savanna just finished the 3rd grade and a very fun softball season. This last year Savanna was involved with soccer, softball, Girl Scouts, and K Kid Cadets (Kiwanis Club for kids). I coached her soccer team in the fall and it was a lot of fun. TJ coached her softball team in the spring and she really enjoyed softball this year. It was a much better experience than last time. She really fell in love with the game. She started pitching and is very good at it. She also started learning all about baseball players from the past, like Babe Ruth and Shoeless Joe Jackson. She and her Daddy both love the game so much. It is very cute! Other than that Savanna just turned nine and is a very happy kid. Tatum is a pistol! She is so funny. She is 22 months old and as smart as a whip. She talks up a storm, likes to sing, and loves Cinderella and Ariel. She has recently been introduced to Disney movies and she loves Cinderella, Little Mermaid and Finding Nemo. She has been to Disneyland several times already and loves it. Every once in awhile she will say Tatum go Mikey's house or Tatum go Princess Castle! It is very cute. She also loves to fwim (swim) or go to the beach! She is not afraid of the water and loves the sand. In fact she is not afraid of anything really. She is a bit of an adrenaline junkie. She has a very sweet disposition and a great personality. We are very lucky to have two such sweet girls! As far as me I am busy being a Mom, a wife, girls scout leader, soccer coach and I am in charge of Homecoming for the USS John Paul Jones (long story). All things I love a lot! I at one time thought of running for PTA president but wisely decided against it! I love spending time with my girlies and my husband. I love going to the beach with them, the park, or to the carousel at the mall. I especially love going to Disneyland with them. I guess this is all for now. Most of this is not news to any of you. I felt I just needed a starting point. Tata for now.
