Genesee turns 1!!!

I can't believe it! My baby Genesee is ONE!! Times passes far to quickly. It seems like just the other day that she was born. My sweet tiny girl is getting so big. She is still not walking but she is so close. It will be soon.
Genesee got a haircut a couple days before her birthday.
Tatum is helping her Daddy mow the grass before the party
We got Genesee a ride on pony
This is Genesee's big cake for her party. Her party was a Princess theme. Not Disney Princess just First Birthday Princess. I found some pretty cute stuff. The cake TJ originally picked out of the Wilton catalog was a castle that fed 97 but he settled for a much smaller carriage cake. lol
The cakes
This was Genesee's smash cake. It was a 3D carriage that was the perfect size for her.
She loved the cake! Her Daddy wouldn't let anyone feed her cake until her first birthday.
Digging in!
Licking her plate clean!
Genesee and her friends playing with her new toys. Thanks everybody she had a great birthday!

Trip to the Gulf Shores Zoo

Last week TJ decided we needed to go check out Alabama and found a little zoo in Gulf Shores. It was tiny but so cool. The highlight of the trip was the girls got to hold and interact with some Joey kangaroos. The little one Tatum is holding was tiny! The zoo keeper held open a pillow case and the kangaroo hoped into it. It was so awesome.
Both girls holding the babies
Savanna was in heaven!
It was no San Diego zoo but it sure made up for it with this!!
This is what they look like out of their "pouches"
See how tiny that little guy was
Yep huge tiger chain link fence cage...hmmm
This was another thing the girls got to do. As you entered the zoo you could purchase a cup of food and throughout the zoo their would be a sign that said "ok to feed zoo puffs" and you could feed the animals. The girls are feeding deer here. They also got to feed ducks, fish, turtles, goats and sheep.
The animals were so gentle.
Tatum loved this guy. She wanted to take him home!
It's hard to tell from the picture but the girls are on a bridge overlooking this goat compound and the giant goat put his front legs on the bridge to get closer to the little girls with food. It surprised Tatum so much that he did this she jumped back and said "He climbs! He climbs!" TJ and I were rolling.
Genesee talked to the goats
We ate at Lulu's after the zoo. It was a fun place with awesome burgers!

Our new house

This is our new house. It is at the end of a cul de sac and we love our neighbors. We really lucked out finding this place. The front yard is always shaded and we have a disc swing and a baby swing in the big tree. Savvy took this picture.

Vistors from Cali

The Geng girls surprised my girls by driving out to Pcola while they were on vacation in New Orleans. Savanna flipped out it was awesome!
I miss her!
The view is better from the top
Gotta love the white sand and warm water
All the girls together again!
These two are just too cool for their own good!

4th of July

Our friends invited us over to their house for the fourth and we had a big BBQ and got to set off our own fireworks. It was so much fun!
American Cuties
Mr. Nathan was very careful about teaching all the kids to respect the fireworks.
Genesee was clapping away. She really liked the sparkly ones
Tatum trying to write her name
Lovin the fourth!

Adoption

Yes it finally happened. Prayers were answered and our Savvy gets to change her name and TJ is now legally her Dad! June 25, 2009 will be a special day forever in our hearts because it is the day TJ adopted Savanna!.
